BI Institutional Enhancement Course: Integrity Action Plan
13–17 October 2014
In collaboration with the Norwegian Defence International Centre (NODEFIC)
The course offers a systematic approach to integrity building and anti-corruption risk reduction through the practical development of an Integrity Action Plan for the defence sector. This course is a follow-up of the NATO BI Institution Building conference in Oslo in March 2014, but is more aimed at the practitioners’ level – i.e. those who will be responsible for actually producing an integrity action plan at their own general staff or defence ministry levels. The course will cover:
- Introduction to integrity planning
- Drafting and designing an integrity action plan
- Implementing the plan
- Strategy and approach to follow up; review and revision
- Monitoring and impact assessment
The course is built on the methodology described in the new CIDS and TI UK DSP’ Integrity Action Plan Handbook. The course will be delivered through a mix of lectures and syndicate sessions with active student participation.
Registration for the 13 – 17 October 2014 course is now closed and participants have been notified. CIDS and NODEFIC are pleased that so many competent practitioners in integrity building at national defence institution level will be joining the course. The geographical distribution of participants includes Colombia, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Poland, Serbia, Sweden and Ukraine.
