IMG_1950 2CIDS is responsible for the implementation of the project to Strengthen the Integrity Framework in the Montenegrin Public Administration with Emphasis on the Security and Defence Areas. As part of the efforts directed at the security sector, a delegation representing Montenegro’s Ministry of Interior and Police visited Norway in the period 31 August – 4 September. The purpose of the study visit was to share knowledge, experience and good practices with Norwegian counterparts. Over the course of the week the group visited Norway’s Police Security Service (PST), the Norwegian National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime (ØKOKRIM), the National Police Directorate, the National Criminal Investigation Agency (KRIPOS), and the National Mobile Police Service (UP). The group also travelled to Stavern where they met with staff and students from the Police University College. The different institutions had prepared engaging presentations and activities that generated plenty of interaction with the delegates, making it a successful learning experience for everyone involved.
The trip was organised by Odd B. Malme, a senior adviser in the National Police Directorate and associate expert at CIDS.
