The NATO Parliamentary Assembly in co-operation with the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 18-20 March 2014 organised a seminar on Security and Democratisation in South-Eastern Europe: Consolidating Stability, Pushing Reforms. The seminar was attended by Members of Parliament from NATO and partner countries, 23 in total, as well as by observers and subject experts.

One of the sessions discussed Defence Management Reform and Integrity Building, moderated by Simon LUNN (former Secretary General of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly). On the panel were Zekerijah OSMIC (Minister of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Alberto BIN (Director, Integration, Partnerships and Cooperation Directorate, Political Affairs and Security Policy Division, NATO HQ), Valeri RATCHEV (former Chief of Staff of the Ministers of Defence and Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Associate Senior Fellow at DCAF), and Bård Bredrup KNUDSEN (Director, Centre for Integrity in the Defence Sector, Oslo).

The Director of CIDS gave a presentation of the main results from the needs analyses in 9 countries of South East Europe, a mapping project organized by the Norwegian Ministry of Defence and carried out by the Norwegian Agency for Management and eGovernment (Difi).
